1. INTENDED USE

An additional power supply is intended to offer uninterruptible power supply to external loads in cases where the power supply mounted in the fire central control panel is not enough to offer the necessary autonomy to the entire system. The power supply is capable of charging batteries of up to 2 x 42Ah of capacity. It can also be used as a standalone device for powering of suitable electrical loads.

2. VERSIONS OF POWER SUPPLY

Basically, there are the 3A or 6A output current versions available. In addition to that, there are the variants available without housing, those for subsequent incorporation into the electrical cabinet or the power supply was already integrated in one of the two types of housing during manufacturing. Two housings, designated 430 and 460, are available. The smaller 430 housing has room for the installation of 2 x 12Ah or 2 x 26Ah batteries, while the larger 460 housing can accommodate 2 x 42Ah batteries. Beside that, the 460 housing has indicator lights on its cover to show the state of the power supply and a built-in DIN rail for mounting of additional elements. A mounting frame for mounting on a wall is also available. Both housings provide room to install an interface for controlling the power supply through the fire central control panel that supports the Apollo XP-95 protocol. Both versions of the power supply offer two supply branches, where each is protected by a 5A fuse. The limitation is, of course, that the combined consumption of both branches does not exceed the nominal consumption, that is 3A or 6A.

2.1. The meaning of indicator lights on the DNAP 460 housing

POWER SUPPLY green  Lit when the power supply is connected to the power supply voltage. tabela
NETWORK orange  Shows a network outage
CHARGER orange  A fault in the battery charger
BATTERY/F1 orange  The battery is not connected or the F1 fuse is interrupted
FUSE F2 orange  Interrupted F2 fuse
FUSE F3 orange  Interrupted F3 fuse

3. CONTROL OF THE POWER SUPPLY

The operation of the power supply can be controlled through the XP-95 compliant AV-618 addressable interface, which is connected through the SW input to the relay output of the power supply and which reports the state of the power supply to the fire central control panel. The input of the addressable interface must be parameterized with a normal logic state of ‘1’.
