Apollo conventional detectors are fully compatible with all Zarja fire alarm central control panels and other central control panels, and belong to two product families: S65 and Orbis.

Detectors are connected in parallel to the conventional line (up to 30 per line); fire alarm central control panel is able to determine only, on which line a change has occurred. The display is normally on the group (line) status lights, but you can also use the LCD panel. It is not possible to display the status of each detector.

Detectors that are part of the S65 product family have been used for many years now and are well tested. This type of detectors are based on classic operation principles with a low degree of electronics integration. There are the following types of detectors available:

 

S65 smoke detector is the most widely used detector. It detects the presence of smoke based on light dispersion in its measuring chamber.

 

 

 

S65 temperature detector measures the ambient temperature and triggers an alarm when the temperature exceeds the value that is set with the central control panel (Zarja central control panels). It is primarily used in locations where the use of smoke detectors is not practical because of possible false alarms (due to the dust in the air, the possibility of condensation…).

Zarja manual detector allows you to trigger an alarm when you detect a risk event yourself. An alarm triggered by the manual detector is always regarded as reliable and immediately initiates measures to prevent the spread of fire (turns on fire extinguishing system, closes fire doors…).

Detectors that are part of the Orbis family are based on Apollo’s long-term experience in the field of fire detection. Improved operating principles in combination with the high integration electronics and complex software algorithms are able to bring features of the most modern addressable systems also in systems of conventional detectors: improved detection with almost no false alarms, continuous electronics operation monitoring, smoke measuring chamber smearing control, and fast and easy installation. There are the following types of detectors available:

Orbis multiple sensor detector has an integrated smoke measuring chamber and a temperature sensor. The processor inside the detector processes both signals with the use of a special algorithm which enables a higher level of detection reliability (in case of a small number of false alarms) and sensitivity equalization for all types of fires. It is used when most reliable detection is required and in locations where a standard smoke alarm may trigger false alarms.
