Employees are the greatest asset of any company. Their working time is one of the most important resources and, since work is costly, also one of the most expensive. Managing the working time of employees is of utmost importance for any company. The demands for time attendance vary from company to company. In environments dominated by production or execution of routine or repetitive tasks, work efficiency is proportional to time used. When it comes to creative work, the connection between the end result and the time used isn’t quite so clear. There’s a prevailing belief that attendance is not important in creative work. Whichever the case, practice has shown time and again that every job, even the most creative, requires a certain amount of time, along with skills and ideas. Managers in charge of so-called “creative minds” are often faced with employees’ complaints about too many tasks which can’t be completed. Most often, the cause of inefficiency is a result of a simple fact: that employees don’t “invest” enough of their time into their work.
